The press conference on Sang Baichuan Anthology and the seminar on International Economic and Trade Situation in the post-epidemic era was held in Beijing. Experts and scholars from the State Council Development Research Center, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Foreign Economic and Trade University, Central University of Finance and Economics, the Academy of The Ministry of Commerce, The Institute for the Promotion of International Trade, Hainan International Development Council and other institutions, as well as students from Professor Sang Baichuan from all over the country, attended the meeting.
In his early years, Sang Baichuan studied in the Department of Economics, Renmin University of China, studied under the famous economists Prof. Fang Sheng and Prof. Wei Xinghua. Now he is the dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of The Institute of International Economics, University of International Business and Economics. Sang Baichuan has long been engaged in the research of the field of opening to the outside world and has made a series of important academic achievements. He is listed as the representative figure of the fourth generation of theoretical economists in China by Baidu entry.
Between 1990 and 2020, monographs were published more than 20 units, has published more than 360, three AnZiJie international trade research award, two Chinese foreign trade and economic cooperation research achievement, won four Chinese business research achievement, twice won the Beijing philosophy and social science research achievement, capital, labor medal, selected by the Ministry of Education in the new century talents, enjoy the State Council special allowance.
Sang Baichuan Anthology is a three-volume collection of Sang Baichuan's academic papers published in the past 30 years. It is divided into 9 papers including opening to the outside world, economic reform, economic development, economic and trade rules, international economy, foreign trade, foreign investment, transnational merger and acquisition, and foreign investment. They are edited according to the chronological order of publication. Most of these papers directly face the problems and contradictions in China's open economy, carry out advanced exploration, seek solutions and discuss the future direction, from which we can see the development track of China's opening up practice, theory and policy, reflecting the author's academic style that is not only in the book but also in the style.
